Invoice Letters containing price and insurance forms were distributed at Saturday's parents' meeting

Checklist to ensure organisation

 Full payment must be submitted to the College Office by Wednesday 18th February 2009.
- if using direct debit, contact the College Bursar Stephanie Haines for account details. Direct
debits will need to be in by Tuesday to allow clearance by Wednesday.

 Travel Insurance Forms. All travellers must complete the enclosed forms and return them to Mr Lobsey by Wednesday 18th February 2009. They will be sent with the final invoice. A medical appraisal form can be collected from Mr Lobsey for those travellers requiring cover for pre-existing conditions.

Instructions on filling out the Insurance Forms
Page 1- everyone will need to fill in their name, address, phone number, departure and return dates, period of trip, destination etc.
Page 2 - 1. The policy is REGION B.
2.The excess on the trip is $200 so just tick $200 excess option.

Page 3 - parents signature, just leave the payment options section as you pay along with the tour cost.

 Passport. All travellers must have 6 months validity on their passport as of the date of return.
Copies of your passport need to be given to Mr Lobsey.

 Consent Form. All travellers must fill out the school consent form and return it to Mr Lobsey
by Wednesday 18th February 2009.
This contains contact details, medical details and dietary requirements. Please ensure these
are thoroughly completed. Any special needs of participants regarding medical, religious
food requirements or food allergies eg. Vegetarian, allergic to seafood, nuts etc, must be
notified to GET.

On Monday, letters will be given to those students who did not attend the meeting and information session.

Thank you to all the people who committed their weekend time to the pie drive ! It was nice to see the effort and to be involved in the discussions on the tour. Hope it all turned out ok.

Pie drive and parent meeting this Saturday !

The pies and Lamingtons will be delivered this SATURDAY 14th February at 10.00am to the school. You will need to pack and pick up your orders to deliver to your customers that Saturday morning, so they are fresh. Meet at the TAS building.

Please bring eskies and cold bricks with you when you come to get your orders – no one needs to have pies and lamingtons sitting in a hot car!

This is also an opportuity for parents to gather and discuss fundraising and the trip. Questions on final payment, travel to Brisbane, jerseys and shirts, baggage and gear are starting to arise and these can be discussed. I will be at school at 10am to answer any questions.

Last Chance for Pie/Lamington Drive Orders

Leonie Duck will be waiting in the College Office on Monday morning ( 9th February ) for any outstanding orders. This is the last chance. Thanks again to Leonie, Angela, Gaynor and all those who are into the spirit of fund-raising. Details about the pie drive are in an earlier post.

Final Payment Date

Dear Parents/Carers,

The original date for the final payment of the tour cost was set as Monday 2nd February 2009.

I have been in consultation with G.E.T Educational Tours and they are still in the process of formulating our final bill. They have given us an extension on our payment date. This date will be confirmed when the final price is set. They seem likely to give us 1-2 weeks to have this paid.
Everybody must be ready to fulfil an estimated final payment of $ 5,990 ( Australian dollars ). As stated before, this is dependent on the value of Australian dollar and the adjusted prices in Europe, and all hopes are that the price will not rise significantly.

The balance of the price will be required to be paid to the College Office.

I will pass on all information as soon as I am aware.

Battlefields Trip Pie / Lamington Drive

Hi all,

Yes it’s time for more fundraising for the trip, for your jerseys and a bit of extra money. This time it is for the Pie Drive we discussed at the meeting before Christmas.

The pies come from Sundown Bakery in South Grafton and they are truly delicious, as are the Lamingtons, so please try to sell as many as you can. Many sports start up again soon so now is a great time to have that pie in the freezer, and of course lamingtons are great at any time!

Here is your order sheet for the Pie and lamington drive.

ORDERS
When you have collected your pie orders (with money please), please take in your order sheet and money to GAYNOR SMIDT at Country Energy, Prince St, Grafton by FRIDAY 6th FEBRUARY.

Orders can be faxed through to Gaynor on 66437620, but note we cannot place an order unless we have the money as well. If you cannot drop the money in please call Gaynor or Angela on the numbers below before 6th Feb and we will organise something!
